Acanthophyllum

Perennials, often small, pink or white flowers, from the Far Eastern Mediterranean through Central Asia.  Represented in garden by Acanthophyllum cerastioides, which until recently was Gypsophila cerastioides

The flowers  may be small, but they attract good numbers of pollinating insects, including honeybees, butterflies and hoverflies.
