Cnidum

A genus of umbelliferous plants with many uses in traditional medicines, the active chemicals probably protect the plants against being eaten by insects. However, in common with all members of the Apiaceae, the heads of numerous tiny flowers provide  nectar and pollen for a wide range of insects from tiny pollen-beetles to large hoverflies.
