Hi i have Potentilla nepalensis 'Miss Willmott' which has flowered beautifully two questions when should i cut it back and it spreads itself wide should i support it or just let it grow naturally thank you
Often Potentilla die back at the end of the season. If they do stand over winter cut back the remaining stems to ground level in spring. They prefer poor to moderately fertile, free-draining soils. If they are grown in rich and fertile soils, they are likely to grow taller and have a tendency to flop, which might be the case here, as they generally do not require any staking/ support.
