Actaea simplex 'Brunette'

This selected form has very dark, purple-black foliage and stems, providing dramatic contrast for the tall, slender spires of sweetly scented, small, white flowers. Plants are vegetatively produced, so true to form. Needs moist retentive soil, in sun or part shade; flowering in late autumn.
