Aegopodium
Around 7 species, of spreading perennials, elder-like leaves and typical Apiaceae white flowers. Native to Europe, but naturalised elsewhere. Despite the deserved reputation for being weedy (especially A. podagraria - ground elder), there is some ornamental merit, especially with A. podagraria 'Variegatum', but very careful siting required, particularly to stop it escaping from gardens.
As with all umbellifers, the flowers are visited for nectar and pollen by a wide range of smaller insects, in particular beetles and flies.
