A tall mallow like plant with stiff, upright, branching stems. Small pink flowers over a prolonged period from mid summer.
Along with its hollyhock relatives (Alcea rugosa), this palm-leaf marsh mallow also can suffer from hollyhock rust. Although at times unsightly, with us, on our established plants it rarely restricts growth or flowering. We don't use any chemical treatments, instead practice good hygiene with our growing plants, but cannot guarantee entirely rust-free plants.
