Alyssum

Some of these are now renamed in the genus Hormathophylla. 4-petalled yellow or white flowers, often evergreen perennials or sub-shrubs. Native through the Northern Temperate region of the Old World.

The flowers are very attractive to bumblebees, honeybees and pollen-beetles, while especially in their native Mediterranean range the leaves are known to support the larvae of a number of moth species.
