Anthericum

A slightly confusing genus, as some species are included Chlrophytum. St Bernard's lily. There are two European species, A. ramosum and A. liliago, both with white, starry flowers on vertical stems, over a clumps of narrow leaves. Some of the natural range of these species is the Alps, of which the patron is.... Saint Bernard.

The flowers produce nectar and pollen, attractive especially to bees and hoverflies, although the flowers are rather sparsely produced.
