This is a herbaceous perennial with a white daisy like flower reaching to nearly 2m. Each has a slightly dishevelled, but very charming stage. Preferring full sun and general conditions, flowering in autumn. Foliage has a grey-green tinge, especially when younger. It is a species of plant native to the United States and Canada. It is found primarily in the Mississippi Valley and Great Plains from Saskatchewan south to Texas and Florida.
