Although its tuberous roots are somewhat invasive I admire this plants ability to thrive in thin woodland, even in grass. It will look well in the border and is easily restrained. In my wood garden the effect of a glade of yellow daisies on branching stems is a delight where they fill the space taken earlier by snowdrops and daffodils.
