Forms a dense mosaic of small, crinkle-edged leaves about 6 cm across which completely hides the tangle of prostrate branching stems. Useful and attractive ground-cover in heavy damp soil. Reputedly not evergreen except in mild districts but has survived very hard winters here. Tends to retreat in dry hot summers, unless an ample water supply.
