Clumps of grass-like evergreen leaves and fragrant, lavender-blue to purple flowers with a band of yellow on the falls, blooming in mild spells throughout the winter, into early spring. Foliage can be little untidy, but its a joy to see the flowers arise and open in the depths of winter.
