This makes an impressive feature plant isolated in full sun and well-drained soil. Short woody stems produce handsome clusters of grey-blue leaves, topped in late summer early autumn with stout heads of red-orange buds, opening a to cool-lemon. Excellent for foraging bees, as the many individual flowers are loaded with pollen. This is a specially fine variety of this kniphofia. Originally collected in the wild by Brian Halliwell, BH5020.
