Related to Solomon's seal, and very like it in its beautiful arching foliage, but instead of bells it has a tapering head of massed fluffy, creamy-white flowers, tinged green in bud, sweetly scented. Late spring. Likes cool soil. Synonym Smilacina racemosa.
