A fast growing upright, large tree, with beautiful pale violet flowers which appear in early spring before the leaves appear. Siting in a protected spot, particularly away from strong winds will help the flower bud survive through winter. Large heart shaped leaves are attractive and will be larger if the tree is coppiced. Picture 2 is a mature tree which was in our water garden. Plants for sale are 1-2 year old seedlings.
