This form was discovered by a Texas botanist, Greg Grant, who named it after his aunt. The new foliage emerges golden yellow, before fading to the typical colour. Flowers as the species, Rudbeckia maxima, a brown prominent cone, surrounded by long, languid, yellow petals.
