A fine feature plant to offset some of the fussy greys. In spring large flat crinkled grey leaves emerge completely whitened with soft silky down. This gradually disappears as stems of white hooded flowers appear in midsummer. Renewed growth possible in early autumn and then foliage will reduce over winter, but resume growth in the spring, however best treated as a short lived perennial.
