Serratula tinctoria var. seoanei

This charming little knapweed comes as fresh as a daisy at the end of autumn. Small, wiry plants clothed in finely-cut leaves, produce exquisite mauve-pink fuzzy heads when there is little else to please. Don't cut down as the spent flowers soon develop into attractive strawy seed heads. Full sun, most soils.
