Originally from a coastal garden in Brittany, Crech ar Pape, and grown to perfection in the Exotic garden at Great Dixter and now for several years on a south wall facing our nursery, this hardy form will flower all summer long given a sunny sheltered wall, fence or other support. Might need a hard spring prune if gets out of hand or damaged by winter. Lovely chalky white, blue shaded flowers drip from the plant during late summer. May also be known as S. laxum 'Coldham' or 'Creche du Pape'.
