Regarding Symphyotrichum novae-angliae 'Violetta' - Would it be suitable for an exposed site on clay soil? Many thanks
Yes this plant can cope in an exposed or sheltered position and is suitable to be planted in clay soil.
Is it better to repot the asters into larger pot over winter or put directly into the ground?
If you can it is best to plant them directly into the ground. If you repot please do not let them dry out or become waterlogged.
