Of greater vigour and larger flowers than T. violacea. Soon forms clumps of narrow greyish green leaves and has a very long flowering season with agapanthus like stems of fragrant lilac flowers. Frost hardy here over many years, but best grown in a pot, or in a sheltered garden position.
