We used to call this V. 'Dartington Star'. A much nicer if incorrect name. Always noticed here with its 5 narrow petalled flowers and covering large areas under the oaks in our woodland garden. Here shown growing with Anemone nemorosa 'Robinsonia'. Evergreen with arching stems of dark green foliage. Dark starry violet-blue flowers from late spring to autumn. Spread indefinite.
