From South Africa. Slowly spreading rhizomes carry short silky tufts of finely shredded leaves forming a silver-grey carpet on poor gravel soil, dotted, in early summer, with yellow button-flowers on wiry stems, resembling hat pins. Previously sold as C. lineariloba.
