Details

For weeks in midsummer this pink chicory sends up tall branching stems set with rose-pink flowers just like little pink dandelions. They close after lunch. In its British native form, it's a pasture herb, with sky blue flowers, whereas in Italy it has been cultivated into many forms, which we know as Italian chicory, or raddichio.
