Eremurus stenophyllus

A glorious foxtail lily, upright stems covered in hundreds of star-shaped yellow flowers. A real statement plant in the herbaceous borders. When planting, spread the roots just below the soil surface, taking care not to break them when working around the plant later on. The foliage can be rather untidy, so grow amongst spreading geraniums, like Rozanne, Patricia and 'Orion'.
