Lysimachia ciliata

Emerges through the soil in spring with clusters of soft milk-chocolate brown leaves whose colour is only slightly diluted green as the stems elongate to carry a spire of delicately hung yellow flowers which last for weeks in mid to late summer. Creeping root stock in rich damp soil.
