This wild bergamot has a natural range across much of North America, thriving in prairie type situation and may be reasonably drought tolerant. With soft, scented foliage and pretty pink-mauve flowers, this is a beautiful plant which forms attractive seed heads. Good for attracting bees, butterflies and other pollinators. Many current hybrids and forms come from M. fistulosa or M. didyma, or by crossing the two.
