Vitex agnus-castus

A spreading shrub with aromatic dark green leaves. Small fragrant lilac to dark blue flowers from early to mid-autumn. Flowering occurs at the ends of the current years shoots, so the shrub can be pruned in early spring, down to a suitable framework, similar to Caryopteris and Buddleja. It will flower better in a good summer and will enjoy being against a warm wall.
