As the temperature rises, the production team are seeing the benefits gifted by the extra sunlight. The propagation house is appearing verdant as recent cuttings burst into life with new vigour and begin to put down roots. Striking plants such as Arisaema candidissimum are unravelling their blooms, and as they head towards the nursery for sale, old friends such as Kniphofia caulescens arrive into the propagation building courtesy of the stock beds, ready to be divided and potted.

Ned has been checking and maintaining our irrigation system to ensure good plant health, especially now the warmer weather is arriving.

Annie and Mel have been working hard inspecting plants to make sure they are ready to be released for sale. This week they worked through the rows in the tunnels, moving fully rooted plants to our stand off area ready to go on the nursery, and for our mail order pickers.

The arrival of the fairer weather has certainly taken all areas of propagation into a higher gear, and already, much sunblock has been administered! However, despite some currently prominent red tans, we are all looking forward to the weeks and months ahead in propagation, and to sharing these with you all!
