Garden Tasks

With spring just around the corner, the Garden Team have been busy carrying out the last of the winter jobs. This has included pruning evergreens, cutting back the last of the previous years spent stems and preparing the ornamental boat for another season in the pond.

On Wednesday 1st March, Ian Limmer from Peter Beales Roses held a planting and pruning course here at the Gardens. The course was attended by the Garden Team, keen to learn from the rose expert. Whilst Ian was here, he helped the team to ID a lot of the roses around the Gardens; ones planted by Beth and Andrew but which have unfortunately lost their labels over time. Hopefully Ian will return for another day course as it was hugely popular and incredibly informative.
