Geranium himalayense

From North East Afghanistan to Nepal. Above finely cut parasol shaped leaves float quantities of large blue flowers, finely pencilled with crimson veins which join to make a deep pink ring around the small white eye. One of the loveliest geraniums, Superb, beautiful ground cover beneath roses where it spreads by underground roots, tolerating some drought or part shade.
