Terms and Conditions for Activities and Course Bookings – November 2023
Adult Day courses/workshops
- Courses and workshop places must be pre-booked and paid in full (unless stated otherwise) before the day of the activity. Bookings are taken on a ‘first come, first served’ basis.
- Notice of cancellation must be received 4 weeks prior to commencement of the course to qualify for a refund.
- Refunds, after 4 weeks prior to commencement of the course, will only be considered in exceptional circumstances and at our discretion.
- All refunds will carry an administration charge of 10% of the course fee.
- Transfers to other courses will incur a 10% administration charge.
Children and Family courses and activities
- Places must be pre-booked and each child that attends must have a booked child place. Bookings are taken on a ‘first come, first served’ basis.
- One adult per child is free. Extra adults should book an additional adult place.
- Booking an additional adult place for a child will not secure a child’s place on the course.
- The term ‘accompanied child’ means that an adult must remain with the child during the course. The attending adult is responsible for their child at all times.
- Notice of cancellation must be received 4 weeks prior to commencement of the course to qualify for a refund.
- Refunds, after 4 weeks prior to commencement of the course, will only be considered in exceptional circumstances and at our discretion.
- If you do not attend the course the fee is still payable. However, if you, or your child, cannot attend you can transfer your booking to another person. We appreciate advance notice of this change via email at joy@bethchatto.co.uk.
Long courses, of 7+ weeks
Pre-start of course
- The course balance is payable before the first day of the course.
- To qualify for a course refund notice of cancellation must be received 4 weeks prior to commencement of the course.
- Deposits are non-refundable unless notification of cancellation is received 4 weeks prior to commencement of the course.
- Requests for refunds, received less than 4 weeks prior to commencement of the course, will only be considered in exceptional circumstances and at our discretion.
- All refunds will incur an administration charge of 10% of the course fee.
- Transfers to other courses will incur an administration charge of 10% of the course fee.
During course
- Once the course has started you will not be able to transfer the course fee to another course.
- Refunds will only be considered in exceptional circumstances and at our discretion and will incur an administration charge of 10%.
If we cancel your course
Beth Chatto Education Trust reserves the right to cancel courses in the event of unforeseen circumstances. If an activity is cancelled, we will take all reasonable steps to notify participants. All course fees paid will be reimbursed in full, or the payment can be transferred to another Beth Chatto course on our programme.
If a course is cancelled Beth Chatto Education Trust cannot be held responsible for the cost of pre-booked accommodation or travel expenses.
