Makes low congested mounds of maidenhair-like foliage. Short, black, wiry stems carry 5 or 7 fronds threaded with tiny pinnae arranged like the fingers of a hand. Best in a select position in your border, avoiding much sun, particularly at midday. Towards the front will allow you marvel at the delicate nature of the fronds. These can be cut down in late winter, early spring, to allow new foliage to emerge at its best.
