An interesting groups of southern hemisphere evergreen ferns. Relatively unusual in UK cultivation and not as hardy as many others. Give them a shaded position, ideally in a sheltered spot. The joy of these are with new fronds emerging various shades of red to pink. Well worth a go.
In common with most ferns, this genus has few specific wildlife values, aside from providing ground cover to amphibians and invertebrates.
