Above mounds of grassy leaves stand tall stems carrying long narrow, cat-tail-like flower heads, late summer to autumn. A very distinctive and attractive vertical feature among lower plants in the dry sunny border. This plant has remained compact in our garden, but needs watching. Runners can be easily removed from late autumn.
