Long slender branches bear deliciously lemon-scented leaves, dried they make herb tea or pot pourri. Panicles of tiny violet and white flowers in late sumer, into autumn, are not without charm. Needs shelter of warm wall. Normally cut down by severe winters, but shoots again.
