A good compact, evergreen shrub, foliage with a bluish-green hue. Spikes of white flowers over summer. Its tidy form makes a good backdrop for more exuberant jewel-like flowers, Anemone pavonina, Pilosella aurantica, Pulsatilla vulgaris.
