Anemopsis
A monotypic genus, with its one species growing from Western USA to Mexico. Found as a marginal plant alongside rivers and ponds, but will grow in wet soils. Used in Native American traditional medicine for centuries. Related to Houttuynia which comes from the other side of the world.
