Best in a moist soil. Massed stems carry thick cyclamen-pink pokers, handsome dock-like foliage, which is semi-evergreen. This is the larger flowered form grown from division. Early summer onwards for many weeks. Seen here growing with Lysimachia ciliata 'Firecracker'. Synonym Persicaria bistorta 'Superba'.
