Hedychium densiflorum

Ginger lily from East Himalayas. Many strong stems handsomely dressed in long tapered leaves topped, with bottle-like spikes of small apricot flowers, followed by bright red berries. A grand feature plant, providing interest and colour late in autumn, whilst towering above Hosta 'Gold Standard', Rudbeckia fulgida var. deamii, surrounded by a yellow carpet of  Lysimachia nummularia 'Aurea' (creeping jenny).
