Details

Pakaha is a sturdy late flowering perennial, producing many spikes of deep pink tubular flowers, over grey-green felted leaves, which are strongly scented. Varying hardiness, probably preferring a sheltered, sunny site. The species name hastata is from the shape of the leaf, hastate. Essentially spear-shaped with a pair of lobes at the base.
