We take great care to produce your peat free plants. Propagation and growing on is carried out by our team who will only part with plants once they are strong and well rooted.

Rudbeckia

Cone flower. Adaptable, showy yellow daisies all requiring full sun and a fertile, moisture retentive soil. All form controllable clumps and provide colour from mid summer well into autumn. Lovely with grasses such as Molinia. All last well as cut flowers.

As with all 'daisy-like' flowers, the disc-flowers in the centre of the flowerhead (at least in non-doubled forms) produce nectar and pollen that are highly attractive to insects, such as bees, hoverflies and butterflies, while the leaves are palatable to the caterpillars of a range of garden moths. If the flower stems are left standing at the end of the summer, the seeds may then be eaten by birds such as goldfinches.
