Sinacalia tangutica

Dark, almost black-stained stems carry prettily carved leaves topped in late summer to autumn, with long pyramidal shaped heads of small, cool-yellow flowers which develop into pale fluffy seed heads lasting well into winter. Spreads around forming loose stands, but where space permits, one of the pleasures of autumn. Will  cope with an average soil, in sun or part shade.
