Helleborus niger 'Christmas Carol'

The well known christmas rose. Just above dark green, leathery leaves stand white, wide-open blooms, sometimes tinged pink. They need retentive but well-drained soil, in sun or part shade, top dressed with old manure or compost. Harmful if eaten.
