Euphorbia characias 'Portuguese Velvet'

Forms a large bulky plant, similar in size to E. characias subsp. wulfenii, but has leaves densely covered with minute silver hairs, soft, like velvet. Large heads of green frogspawn-like flowers, with darker centres. Needs a warm sheltered position in cold districts. Harmful if eaten. Skin and eye irritant.
